Dave Powers, PT, MA, MBA
Dave has been a Physical Therapist for more than 25 years. He has graduate degrees in Management and Business. Presently he is working on completing his doctorate in physical therapy. He has extensive experience and training in management and leadership, yet has maintained his hands on clinical skills throughout his professional career. Dave is also certified to do functional capacity evaluations.
Dave is presently the Owner and Chief Executive Officer for Camarillo Aquatics and Rehabilitation Services, LLC in Camarillo California. His clinic provides physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology. His comprehensive rehabilitation programs cover services from pediatrics to geriatrics. He has integrated wellness and fitness programs into his clinic. Dave maintains a home physical therapy practice on the Westside of Los Angeles. He sees patients with mainly orthopedic and neurological conditions. Dave is also Chief Executive Officer for Ultimate Rehab, LLC that is a health care consulting company specializing in Rehab Management and Practice.
Projects have been done for Acute Care Hospitals, Rehab Hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Universities, Health clubs, Private Practices, Medical clinics, the State of California, the City of Los Angeles, the City of Monterey...etc. Dave has also consulted on more than 200 legal cases involving rehabilitation. He is a Rehab Advisor for CNA Insurance company out of Chicago, having worked on cases across the country. He has been an investigator for the State of California Licensing Board for the last 8 years.
Dave holds clinical faculty position at Mount St. Mary's College, where he teaches Health Care Administration for the graduate students. He has taught at Loma Linda University, Western University, California State University Northridge, University of Southern California and University of California Los Angeles School of Public Health. Dave has stayed actively involved in the American Physical Therapy Association and the rehab community, holding local, state and national offices.
Bernadette McDonnell, PT, LCCE
Bernadette graduated in Physical Therapy from the National University of Ireland, University College, Dublin. She then moved to Los Angeles and has spent over 25 years specializing in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. She has worked closely with many of the top orthopedists of Los Angeles.
Since Bernadette became Pilates Certified she has seen great results from incorporating Pilates into her rehab. She is also a LaMaze Certified Childbirth Educator and has been teaching childbirth preparation classes at Cedars Sinai Medical Center since 1987. Many of her obstetric clients have benefited from Pilates based physical therapy both pre- and post-natally.
Bernadette resides locally in Pacific Palisades with her 2 young daughters Samantha and Natasha. She loves to dance, exercise, hike and enjoy a good wine and gourmet food with a friend.
Parivash Kashani, OTR/L, CHT
Parivash is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist. Born in Iran, and a graduate of the University of Chicago. She moved to Washington D.C., and worked at the National Rehabilitation Hospital for two years. Later she became NDT Certified in 1987 and has been a Certified Hand Therapist for over fourteen years.
Currently Parivash works part-time at UCLA Medical Center Rehabilitation where she has been working since 1989. In addition to her expertise in treating patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions, Parivash has been performing ergonomic evaluations for clients with upper extremity problems.
When she is not rehabilitating hand-injury patients, Parivash loves to travel, garden and read.
Ellen Kohler, PT, OCS
Ellen graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1977. After 16 years of practice she attended the Kaiser Permanente, LA Advanced Orthopedic Residency Program. Subsequently she became Board Certified in Orthopedics and continues to treat patients with various orthopedic disorders.
